whether I get accepted or not is fine by me..
just... Hello everyone!

Though I'll probably get to have a look at your work.
I am more familiar with typesetting.
So don't worry.
-Shiro- wrote:Yep
What kind of genre do you like, by the way?
mangalover23 wrote:Hi I got your application I sent u a reply.
-Shiro- wrote:Yeah, Bleach kinda turned downhill since um... I dunno which arc anymore. The basic idea was good though, I think.
Well, I read AAA - um, I work for scanlation groups which are none-english from time to time - but it was just like Fly High, I guess.
Mhhh If you like Boku no Hatsukoi wo Kimi ni Sasagu, say so - I got some more titles in store.
Good shounen is rare too, though.
Usually shounen jump offers all the well-known ones. I like it when they aren't this popular, for example Gamaran wasn't that well-known when I read it first.
Tears is kinda under my supervision for now. So, um, let's see. I'll wait for Anna's input - but maybe you'll end up under my fierce and strict rulership.
Well, hunt me down, kill me, whatever - but I thought Hunter x Hunter was a disappointment XD I watched the anime first and read the manga afterwards and I liked the anime better. Only happened with 2-3 manga so far.
I also liked Death Note (anime) better than the manga. The manga wasn't bad but it lacked the special something after watching the anime. That was my impression.
And yeah, it's always harsh if you expect more.

And sorry for the late welcome. >~>
Hurray for the new typesetter! xD
I just finished reading Bakuman and wow, I'm exhausted.
Oh and have you read Denpa Kyoushi?
If you didn't, you should definitely try it out.
Oh, and Ansatsu Kyoushitsu is interesting too, although there's only 4 chapters out...
-Shiro- wrote:Well, if you can clean, did you apply as a cleaner too?
Because we could really use a good cleaner as well.
I still need a permanent cleaner, for example.
Gamaran rocks, yeah.
Did you read Ao no Exorcist? I also liked the manga a lot - there's even an anime since about a year or so.
Otherwise, Rurouni Kenshin is good as well, classic and well-known but not everybody read it as it's a bit old-style.
But it has a lot of moral aspects, fights.
I you are into Slice of Life, Yotsuba& is nice as well. Reminds me a bit of Usagi Drop and Barakamon.
-Shiro- wrote:Yeah, Samurai X got me on Rurouni Kenshin as well. Quite tragic, more interesting than most shounen nowadays.
Problem with shounen jump is that they cut series off before they can grow interesting; and people don't vote for them as much because the big three (Naruto, One Piece, Bleach) get a lot of support. Newcomers have it tough.
Nurarihyon no Mago is good, though.
Rama 1/2, huh? Then you'd like Inuyasha too, I suppose. Same mangaka.
She got another manga running, but I ain't too sure of the name. Ryoukai no Rinne or something like that. Got licenced and taken down, though - but I think some group still releases it anyway.
Yeah, Yotsuba& got quite a good flow; I like slice of life. Usagi Drop was good too. Not as childish as Aishiteruze Baby which got a similiar theme.
Webtoons, huh? I gotta admit, I've never really worked with webtoons. Just some proofreading but I doubt that counts^^ we got some though. I'd love to see some of your work, if you don't mind. Could you send me a link via PM or so?
