I like shounen and seinen, not really into shoujo although there are some that I do like.. I like action, comedy, martial-arts and mind boggling stories and thriller/suspense type :3 when it comes to romance, I'm very picky... I really don't like the exaggerated, flowery with "kya-kya" girls in the story... although I give props to the mangaka doing it for making me aggravated.. lol *peace*

Mainstream shounen like Naruto/Bleach or more like Bakuman? Or with ecchi, like Medaka Box?
Well, there are some good seinen titles, like Jiraishin, out there.
We got TMD but we already have a full set there.

Yeah, romance can be a moot point. Many are really shoujo-ish. I didn't like AAA, for example, it just... was too sparkly, I suppose. There's a limit to what one can take XD Even when working on it. Mhhh though there are differences, I guess. Did you ever read Boku no Hatsukoi wo Kimi ni Sasagu? Not the best drawings, but it's more interesting than some of the others out there.

Can't serve much with thriller/suspense, though. Only thing in that direction which comes to my mind is Liar Game and Gamble Fish.

haha I like Bleach before... but then the story became.... "blargh" for me... ~_~ I prefer Naruto over Bleach... but for mainstream type I like One Piece.. :3

ooh and I haven't read BHKS... yay! something new to read hahaha AAA, didn't even pass as a finger food for me... surprisingly others told me it was good...

but anyway, the reason I joined this place is TMD and Aphorism!!! I actually like Tears to Tiara (anime) so I'm interested to read the manga, I haven't checked it out yet.. I wonder which is better, the anime or the manga.. I just hope that the story and everything is the same... life is harsh when you get disappointed..

Well, hunt me down, kill me, whatever - but I thought Hunter x Hunter was a disappointment XD I watched the anime first and read the manga afterwards and I liked the anime better. Only happened with 2-3 manga so far.
I also liked Death Note (anime) better than the manga. The manga wasn't bad but it lacked the special something after watching the anime. That was my impression.
And yeah, it's always harsh if you expect more.

oh yeah Gamaran!!! it was not well known when I read it as well... I'm bookmarking the manga you mentioned and I'll read it soon.. :3 I'm actually a cleaner for another group... >~< so ummm.. though I'm not sure if my credibility to join has lessen because of this (maybe it has become void), but I'll start reading after I finish my cleans *-*

oooh I won't hunt you about hunter x hunter it's so true! I like the anime more... but I prefer the old version not the new version... ~_~ Death Note as well, after reading 4 chapters I wasn't inclined to read onto it...

but anywhoo, I'm not even sure yet if I'll be a typesetter here in your community.. and by all means... don't worry about stealing projects because it will never happen... >~< nor do I have intention of doing something like that... I'm not a pirate.. *ahem

If you didn't, you should definitely try it out.
Oh, and Ansatsu Kyoushitsu is interesting too, although there's only 4 chapters out...

Did you read Ao no Exorcist? I also liked the manga a lot - there's even an anime since about a year or so.
Otherwise, Rurouni Kenshin is good as well, classic and well-known but not everybody read it as it's a bit old-style.
But it has a lot of moral aspects, fights.

I you are into Slice of Life, Yotsuba& is nice as well. Reminds me a bit of Usagi Drop and Barakamon.

I am a cleaner, but a webtoon cleaner... o.o I'm bad with b&w my leveling is not great at all, I did try cleaning once, I ended up just doing redraws... ~_~ so as long as it's a black&white I can't clean... T^T

Yeah, Samurai X got me on Rurouni Kenshin as well. Quite tragic, more interesting than most shounen nowadays.
Problem with shounen jump is that they cut series off before they can grow interesting; and people don't vote for them as much because the big three (Naruto, One Piece, Bleach) get a lot of support. Newcomers have it tough.
Nurarihyon no Mago is good, though.

I'm not really into the big three.. to be honest, I prefer reading toriko although at first, I was thinking.. "kinda retarded" but then I just continued reading it, it turned out to be really really interesting and funny :3

I actually read Inuyasha.. both series Inuyasha and 1/2 Ranma has annoying romance in it... but not getting into the romance part, it's actually cute.. :3

and the Aishiteruze Baby, didn't even read it... I've watched the anime but only 1 episode.. I ended up watching K-On instead

I didn't read nor work on both of them.
Toriko mhhh I kinda don't like the drawings. Never even got further than the first two pages.
I'm more into clean drawings, not those with sharp edges or rough like One Piece.
Old shounen / manga are an exception; there I often don't mind it if it isn't too persistent.
And I almost never read comedy. I prefer serious manga; though I often read manga where there are some jokes and so on from time to time but not overall set upon humor.
Fairy Tail was okay, for example, as it's funny but you can ignore most of the small talk and dive into the missions.
Mahou Sensei Negima became boring after some chapters but later on interesting; the comedy part kinda got on my nerves but well. I had to read it O.o even if it wasn't to my liking.

I think the only right out comedy manga I read and like was Fulll Contact and Working.

Ashiteruze Baby, huh? I knew there was an anime but didn't watch it entirely.
I read the manga though; it was better, I think. Not good as the drawings are old-style and the main character is annoying, as is the female lead character but I thought the topic was interesting.

I also like Full Contact and I also like some serious stories with hints of comedy.. although, I think I read more of the comedy side.. life is stressful as is, laughing is good for a change but since it's vacation, reading all is great!! I also like Fairy Tail... but I stopped reading it.. it bored me out to be honest.. o~o

I second Angel Densetsu; though it's a lot more rough comedy than Full Contact.
Rookies also got some comedy part, but focuses on the sports aspect.
Fairy Tail gets boring easily, I know. It's a bit repetitive.
A similiar comedy style mh... something like Full Contact. Hm.
Beelzebub is good too; or from the more shoujo-ish side ( as all so far were shounen): Love so life. Not really comedy but light-hearted with good drawings.
Liar Game is Seinen but got some comedy aspects; not much but it's done well.
