Hi there
I know I've made myself rare lately due to personal/family matters. So some might even know me. I noticed a lot of people I don't remember. But there are also a lot of good friends still lingering around, it seems.
I have been keeping track of this group's being even though I didn't find time to work. And I want to praise you. Especially those who kept around, dealt with the always-changing staff constellations and release schedules. I am really proud of you Some of you were totally beginners. Some were already rather experienced. Still, it seems like in the period I've been active and inactive in this group, there has been a lot of progress. Personal-wise. I am not talking about the quality of chapters but what everybody thinks of themselves. You started to trust more in your abilities. You learned. You hated me for all the criticising, maybe XD and here we are. Or rather, I am. I had a good time, talking to a lot of people. Stressing myself out for the sake of our readers and the group. Having clashs about opinions with some people but never any failing out. Yeah, and now... here I am.
And yes, this is a 'see you'. I didn't join this group because I wanted to work in a scanlation group. I wanted to help. To me, it's really important to help new groups get stable, to help build them up. And that's what I did. Maybe we had some problems in the beginning but I guess the group is running. So seeing you having steady releases even when I ain't here to coordinate, makes me proud. Well, also it gives me the feeling of being 'not needed' which is kinda sad - but I am way too proud of you guys/girls to really care about this. I have the feeling that I can rely on you - to carry on this group. I am not needed anymore to keep things together. You learned how to do that. And that's why I will leave. Out there are far too many groups who struggle in the beginning and fail. But to share happiness in the online world of manga reading, those groups, their ambitions and naive beliefs are needed. I feel as if it's my duty to at least give some guiding to those. That's why I wouldn't feel okay working for a group which can organize itself.
The reason I first joined, was because somebody needed help. Annex. And looking back, while now seeing what became of that simple idea, it's amazing.
It's not me that is amazing but all of you.
Those who keep working to bring happiness to the readers.
Keep that spirit up, okay?
And I will always be available in case something goes wrong or help is needed urgently. You got my mail, my mangafox account and I also look at the forum from time to time. Only favor I'll ask, don't strip me of my staff membership. Otherwise I won't be able to keep track of the group anymore.
Maybe we'll see each other again in the future. Some time, somewhere. For now, I intend to keep out of too much work. Still have a bit of family matters going on on my side. I just wanted to make this clear. I didn't plan to leave for good that fast. But when I noticed how well the group is doing...
I felt like 'yeah, they can do fine without me'.
So ~ see you. It's not sayounara. I will always devote myself to scanlation.
That's why.. there ain't a good bye.
